NIJ Students Charges Management On Poor Social Activities




 Final Students of the Nigerian Institute of \journalism, NIJ, have charged the maagenegment of the institution to permit recreation through increased social activities for academic balance.


 


The students lamented that , although, the institution has keen on discharging quality academic curriculum that is globally acceptable but yet has failed to support social activities, comsequmetly making the learning process boring.







One of the students (name withheld) who recently completed her final years exam, noted that apart from football which the students created for themselves for social relief, there are no other unwinding activities in the school.


 


“The school should improve on their social life, they should do more publicity, they should give more audience to the student.” She said,


 


Speaking further, the students also urged the management  to bend on promoting the image of the institution. She said although there are ongoing class activities by the students as practical assignments developing publicity campaigns for the institutions, the management should also endeavour in its capacity for more effective campaigns.


 


“They should stand on their rights and also promote the image of the school positively,” she added.


 


Expressing enthusiasm, she noted it twas a great academic experience spending five years in school and she has been greatly brainfed. She commented: “I'm happy that I'm finally done with NIJ. I feel great that I'm done with the stress of the school”
